Cornelius Eenigenburg Obituary
Cornelius Eenigenburg, age 86, of Lansing, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday April 20, 2008. Survived by his wife Martha (nee Sterk); children: Joyce VanWieren, Mary (Ray) Tambrini, Robert (Marianne) Eenigenburg, Jennifer (Clarence) Huizenga III, Barbara (Douglas) Mulder, Jeffrey (Sheryl) Eenigenburg, Carol (Jerold) Boss, Beth (Dan) Rietveld, Mark (Graziella) Eenigenburg, Joel Eenigenburg, Dale (Marilyn) Sterk and Dwight (Angela) Sterk; loving grandfather of 40; loving great-grandfather of five; brother Harold (Alice) Eenigenburg; sisters: Nellie Homans and Mae (Charles) Boender; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by first wife Winifred DeVries; parents John and Jennie Eenigenburg; brother Robert and infant sister. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the First Christian Reformed Church of Lansing with Rev. Lugene Bazuin officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Back to God Hour. Cornelius was a WWII Navy veteran. He was an active lifetime active member of First Christian Reformed Church of Lansing, and a former co-owner of Eenigenburg Manufacturing of Lansing.
