NORMAN R. KRUSE "BILL" HAMMOND, IN Norman Roger Kruse, age 72, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11,2014. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Kruse (nee Moredich); two children: Karen Kruse and Russell Kruse; two grandchildren: Christian Kruse and Katherine Kruse; daughter in-law, Amber Kruse; sister, Norma (late Johnnie) McGee; sister in-law, Mary C. (late James) Moredich; nephews: Tim (Vicky) McGee, Kevin (Carol) McGee, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Moredich, Robert (Kim) Moredich; nieces: Robin McGee and Nancy (Andrew) Csont; uncle, Patrick (Carol) Kruse; aunt, Pauline (late Carl) Brehmer; numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Norman W. and Edna C. Kruse. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. noon at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Steve Kosinski officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Tuesday April 15, for a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Bill has been a resident of the Hessville section of Hammond for over 50 years. He was retired from LTV -Mittel Steel after over 40 years of service. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Bill was a life member of the Harley Owners Group and H.O.G. chapter 1232 Calumet Region and Lake County Fish & Game Protective Association. Bill was a kind and loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. Please omit flowers.
