Paul Krug Obituary

Paul Martin Krug Kouts Paul Martin Krug, 68, of Kouts, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Porter Hospital. He was born August 31, 1936 in Wheatfield to Lenhardt B. and Dorothea Clara (Weise) Krug. Paul served in the U.S. Army as a corporal during the Korean War era. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Kouts American Legion Post 301. A long-time area farmer, he also worked in the maintenance department at Porter Hospital for 14 years and at John Deere. He enjoyed flying, collecting John Wayne movies and baby-sitting his grandchildren. On January 25, 1958 in Wheatfield he married Marcia A. Katona, who survives along with seven children, Janet Sauerwein of Kouts, Michael (Susan) Krug of Kouts, David (Kristine) Krug of Valparaiso, Thomas (Kathy) Krug of Portage, Mary (Michael) Maul of North Carolina, John Krug of Kouts and Holly (Daniel) Dillabaugh of Valparaiso; six grandchildren, Andy (Jamie) Krug, Erik Krug, Jeffrey Krug, Brian Krug, Elizabeth Dillabaugh and James Dillabaugh; one great granddaughter, Autumn Krug; three sisters, Ruth Jarnecke, Eleanor (Robert) Peregrine and Vera (Leo) Wantola. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James and one sister, Laura Borg. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kouts, the Rev. Richard Boshoven officiating with burial at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 4-8 p.m. at Kosanke Funeral Home, Kouts. angelcrestinc.com
