Thomas Davis Obituary
Thomas R. Davis, 70 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. He was born October 22, 1945 in New Castle, IN, son of the late William A. and Mildred F. (Hamlin) Davis. Tom was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and had worked as a merchandiser for Fagen Pharmacy. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandkids, and his beloved dog, Winnie. With the help of his kids he became an avid"Sony PlayStation Gamer." On October 26, 1973 in Valparaiso, Tom married Catherine E. Croak who survives along with their children, Jack Newell and Kevin (Melissa) Newell, both of West Lafayette, and Casey (Chris) Wszolek of Valparaiso; three grandchildren: Natalie, Benjamin, and Sam; sister, Patty (Craig) Engel and niece, Katie Engel of Indianapolis. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Davis. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Porter County Animal Shelter, 2056 Heavilin Rd., Valparaiso 46383. Cathy-so sorry about Tom but what an honor that I had opportunity to care for him! Sorry I missed you before you guys left. I checked my next day @ work but they said he had moved to Hospice.
Let me just say what a wonderful man he was to care for! No matter how awful he must have been feeling, he was always so polite & kind. He seemed a truly wonderful man. My thoughts & prayers are certainly with you. Any many more hugs :). What a joy it was to see you again if even under such circumstances. God bless!! Love Gloria Moolenaar

Oh Tom, you gave your all in everything you did. I know you did the same in your battle with cancer. You are with God now.
I'm sorry it was such a tough battle but I know your family appreciated the extra time they had with you.
Thank you for everything you did for Fagen Pharmacy. I am thankful that I got to work with you for 17 years. You are a true gentleman and man of integrity. I will miss you.
