Tristen Andersen Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tristen Andrew Andersen, who left us far too soon at the age of 27 on August 10, 2024. Tristen, the beloved son of adoptive parents Gordon and Mary Joan Dickson, is preceded in death by his mother, Kandi Andersen. His absence is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Tristen is remembered with great affection by his family, including Jacob Maleckar, Carissa (Chad) Bearden; Brandon Milner, Breanna Milner, Ava Andersen, Kelly (Jim) Whittaker, Tim (Cally Jo) Dickson, Matt (Alyssa) Dickson, Lyndsay Geraci, and his cherished son, Alexander Andersen. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
A graduate of Hanover Central High School, Tristen proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Marines. His distinguished service was recognized with the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, three Expert Rifle Qualification Badges, and a Sharpshooter Pistol Qualification Badge. His commitment to his country was a testament to his character and bravery. Tristen was a member of the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261.
Tristen had a vibrant spirit, finding joy in playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons, as well as visiting the shooting range. Yet, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, especially his young son, whom he adored more than anything.
A celebration of Tristen's life has been held, with a private burial to follow. Though he is no longer with us, Tristen Andersen's memory will be deeply cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew him.
