William E. "Bill" Reinke

William E. "Bill" Reinke Kouts William E. "Bill" Reinke, age 89, a lifelong resident of Kouts, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Porter Hospital in Valparaiso. He was born July 30, 1917 in Kouts the son of William and Martha (Zeschke) Reinke and had been a manager of Heinold Hog Markets for over 35 years. Bill was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kouts, an honorably discharged army veteran, he was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 301, past president of the Kouts Town Board, served as Pleasant Township Trustee, and was a member of the Porter County Board of Health and Porter County Welfare Board. On April 2, 1947 in Harvey, Illinois, Bill married Jean Fitzpatrick who survives of Kouts, along with their five children: Jerry (Grace) Miller and Nancy (Don) Kneifel, both of Kouts, Candice (Kurt) Ulbricht of Plainfield, IN, Gail (Tom) McNeil of Kouts, Susan (Terry) Page of Westville; two sisters: Lorraine and Marjorie; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his pareants, one son and one great grandson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Kosanke Funeral Home, Kouts with Pastor Robert Hauter officiating.
