SNIDER--Arnold (Arnie). The Board of Directors and staff of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation express great sadness at the loss of our Vice Chairman, Arnie Snider; he was an influential leader and visionary for the Reeve Foundation, sharing his stellar intellect and big heart for humanitarian efforts. What was truly unique about Arnie's arrival as a board member in 2005 was he had no personal connection to spinal cord injuries. His reasons for locking arms with the Reeve Foundation was fueled by a moral imperative to change the world and transform the quality of life for millions living with paralysis. He was instrumental in the wake of Christopher and Dana Reeve's untimely passing, pioneering new initiatives such as epidural stimulation and rallying for advanced rehabilitative methods through the NeuroRecovery Network. It is due to Arnie's unwavering commitment that the organization is on the precipice of discovering cures for paralysis. We will remember Arnie's wisdom and spirit, but most of all, his determination to achieve the "impossible dream" of redefining the reality for those with spinal cord injuries. In Arnie's honor, the Reeve Foundation will harness his legacy to move its mission forward with his vision shaping the future of the organization. Our thoughts are with Arnie's wife, Katherine, and the entire Snider family.
