Dear woody..happy to have found this on line....will give me an opportunity to remember joan publicly. ..working at SS&B for 11 years gave me the honor to know joan in many ways. .she was a wonderful person to be much admired. ..I still have her signed book about the short men in our history and will treasure it always. ..she also was very much at hand helping me with so many health issues that affected both me and my family. .sways so comforting to me. Woody, Peter and Eric:
Joan was a force of nature, a genius of many arts and a seminal figure in my life. She gave unflinchingly of her love, her talent and her wicked, wicked sense of humor. My life as a woman, a mother, a professional and yes, a New Yorker, was made richer, livelier and more connected because of her. I love all of you.
