PATRICK DI JUSTO Obituary

DI JUSTO--Patrick, died unexpectedly at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital on September 18, 2021. Book editor at Make: Community. Journalist for Wired, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, more, see: DiJusto.com. Author of several books including 2015's "This Is What You Just Put in Your Mouth? From Eggnog to Beef Jerky, the Surprising Secrets of What's Inside Everyday Products." Man of justice in his own idiom. Brilliant, funny, talented and kind, Patrick was infinitely knowledgeable and generous with his knowledge, which was surpassed only by his humanity. Patrick's sudden death leaves profound sadness and an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his colleagues, friends, the Gertz family, sister Melissa Perdock, brother Andy DiJusto and his adored and adoring partner, Emily J. Gertz. Patrick loved public libraries, blowing bubbles, New York City diners and East River ferry rides, and spent countless hours in Prospect Park. In his memory donations can be made to install a Prospect Park bench adorned with his name: https://donate.prospectpark.org/patrickdijusto or https://donate.prospectpark.org/fundraiser/3541920
