ROBERT LEE R. L. PAYNE Funeral service for Mr. Robert Lee R. L. Payne, 76 of Opelika will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Dave Grant will officiate. Mr. Payne passed Monday, May 24, 2010 at the East Alabama Medical Center. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: three children, Belinda Baker, Apopka, FL, Robert (Tammy) Edwards and Betty (Kevin) Pauley both of Huntsville, AL; seven sisters, Dorothy (John) Nash, Lynn, MA, Barbara (Melvin) Johnson, Columbus, GA, Alberta Burditte, Ezella Torbert, Annie Ruth Banks, Lorine Hodge and Lula Payne all of Opelika; two brothers, Benjamin Payne and Billy (Cheryl) Payne both of Opelika; an aunt, Minnie Freeman, Apopka, FL; eight grandchildren, Jarquavious Edwards, KeAlbrett Pauley, Kynia Pauley, KelDron Pauley, Cwamell Chappell, Justin Edwards, Jordan Edwards and Dorenda Mack; four great grandchildren, Twan Hodge, Taquiana Gant, Melvin Mack Jr. and Dynasty Wilson; caregiver, Bertha Askew; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends Peterson and Williams Funeral Home
