Charlie Brown Obituary

MONAHANS Charlie Ann Brown, 72, passed away at Regency Hospital of Odessa on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.

Graveside services will be in Graham, Texas, April 9, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Cemetery.

Charlie Ann was born Dec. 19, 1936, to Charlie Wright and Mamie (Allen) Wright in Murray, Texas.

Family was important to Charlie Ann.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, C.B. Brown.

They began their life together in Odessa during the Oil Boom of 1954. They have three children: Sheri Lord and her husband Larry of Monahans, Judy Prater of Monahans and Sonny Brown of Gabon, Africa. She was fortunate to have seven wonderful grandchildren: Captain Charles Brown of Iraq and his wife Maria; Steven Prater and his wife Laurie of Buda, Texas; Brittney Sartor and her husband Cullen of Manor, Texas; Carla Brown, Jason Brown, Sherrilyn Brown and Christina Brown, all of Australia; her sisters, Jeanie Owens of Gardendale, Linda Hurford of Graham, Texas; and her brother, Raymond Wright of Odessa.

Charlie Ann's life was filled with adventure. She and her husband, C.B., experienced different cultures up close and personal by living in various countries such as Iran, Mallorca, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Services are entrusted to Harkey Funeral Home of Monahans.
