Kassandra Leigh "Kassie" Delgado

1988 - 2012

ODESSA Our beautiful angel Kassandra (Kassie) Leigh Delgado was called home after a very valiant fight against cancer on May 9, 2012.

Kassie or Kass as she was also known to so many was born to Carol and Tony Delgado on July 13, 1988 in Odessa, Texas.
Kassie is preceeded in death by her paternal grandparents Francisco and Gloria Delgado; father Tony Delgado and her uncle Raul N. Lara Sr.

She is survived by her great grandmother Francisca V. Lara of Pecos, Texas, maternal grandparents Lucio and Katy Lara; mother Carol Delgado; sister Jennifer and husband Aaron Alvarado; brothers Anthony (T.J.)Delgado and John Paul Delgado; her beloved angels nieces Aolani L. Alvarado; Aryn Sofya Alvarado and nephew Aaron Elijah Alvarado; Aunts Lori and husband Oscar Varela; Belinda (BeeBee) Lara and husband Jose Luis Velasco all of Odessa, TX; Aunt Angie and husband Joe Pino of Midland, TX; uncle Louie Lara of Ft. Worth, Texas as well as numerous cousins and very dear friends of Odessa, TX and extended aunts, uncles & cousins from Albuquerque, Santa Fe, NM and Houston, Texas.

Kassie's passion in life aside from her family was her music, she dreamed of someday becoming a star and making it big in the music world, all she ever wanted was to have her music played on the radio. From a very young age Kassie was a very talented singer, songwriter and musician, she collaborated with several local rap and hip hop artist in the Odessa, TX area and was in the works of collaborating with a very well know artist in the Houston area as well.

Kassie dedicated several years to the 12:30 p.m. mass Choir at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, as well as singing every time she was asked to sing for any occasion whether it be a funeral, wedding, birthday party or just to put a smile on someone's face, she always said "if my music touches at least one person then I have done my job"! Kassie was only on this earth for a very short 23 years, but she wasted no time in making her mark and impacted so many people with her voice, she truly was an angel and she will be missed more than she could ever imagine by so many who knew her. Fortunately she blessed us with a library full of her Christian, rap & hip hop music for us to remember her by.

Rosary will be at 5:00 PM Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 14, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Arturo Pestin officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

As long as her music plays she will live forever, were the last words she left us with!
