He is preceded in death by his father and mother.

Ken is survived by his wife, Hope, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage; three children, Kyle Hancock of Odessa, TX, Amy Prather and her husband Jon of Katy, TX, and Craig Hancock and his wife Helen of Plano, TX; seven grandchildren, Ariel Aguirre, Andres Hancock, Jacob and Jordan Prather, Andrew, Nathan, and Katherine Hancock; two great grandchildren, Sebastian and Xzavier Aguirre; brothers, Joe Don and Bruce Hancock; sister, Judeene Blankenship; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken was a graduate of Plainview High School. He entered the Navy during high school.
