Mary F. Wiseman

Mary F. Wiseman, 93, of Washington, formerly of Waynesburg, Greene County, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Southminster Place of Washington. She was born January 26, 1932, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Fred Reed Cox and Nora Clark Cox. Mary was a 1950 graduate of Waynesburg High School, attending all her high school class reunions, as well as keeping all her close childhood friends She was a member of the Fairhill Manor Christian Church in Washington, was active in Women's Fellowship and sang in the Church choir for 60 years. She was also a member of the Bethany Class in Sunday School. Mary dedicated her life to being a homemaker and caring for her family; she loved baking and cooking for her beloved grandchildren, had many sleepovers with them and she attended all their sporting events. She is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Wiseman, whom she married on May 6, 1951; daughter, Vicki (Angelo) Casciato; daughter, Susan (the late Mark) Britko; grandchildren, Chad (Jessica) Britko and Colin Britko, and great-grandchildren, Connor and Julianna Britko; and son, Charles "Rick" (Annette) Wiseman; and granddaughter, Ashley Wiseman; and many nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by brother, Fred Cox; and sisters, Viola Reszetylo and Peggy Matthias. Arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of William G. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Southminster Place and Gateway Hospice for the exceptional love and care they gave to Mary. A Celebration of Mary's life will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at Fairhill Manor Christian Church with dinner to follow in the large Fellowship Hall.
