ROSS CURTIS Obituary

CURTIS, ROSS J., 91
Dunnellon - Mr. Ross J. Curtis, 91, of Dunnellon, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. He was born December 15, 1924 in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Everett High School in Lansing in 1942. He then served in the US Navy during WW II in the Pacific, earning, among other awards, the Distinguished Flying Cross. After leaving the service, he attended Massey Business College in Lansing. He spent 35 years with Associates Financial Services Corporation, retiring in 1985. Mr. Curtis was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; his son, John; his brother, Sherman; and his sister, Nancy Kiebler.
He is survived by his son, Robert, of Dunnellon.
Private services will be held at Florida National Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon. His family would like to thank the Dunnellon Fire Department, the Citrus Memorial Hospital's Emergency and Critical Care Units, and Hospice of Citrus County for their rapid response and professional and compassionate care.
