I grew up next to Ronnie back in the 50's and 60's. When he married Delores, they chose me to care for their ten, yes t-e-n children. I was so proud that they would trust me with that much responsibility at my young age. Actually, it turned out that they were the best behaved children I had ever watched, and I watched a lot of kids in my day. Delores and Ronnie were really great loving parents, they were always fair and there was no favoritism. They raised the kids to be good honest people who are good honest people today. It saddens me to hear that Delores has passed on and that her children are all so sad and lonely without her, but it warms my heart that I know Ronnie was right there with open arms welcoming his sweet Delores into her Heavenly home for an Eternity together.

The Delores and Ronnie Lewis Family were amongst my most favorite people in my teen years. You see, I grew up next door to Ronnie and when he married Delores, they chose me to care for their ten, yes, t- e-n children. I was always so proud of that, and speak of it even to this day because it meant so much to me. My husband, children, friends and grandchildren have all heard what a great family the Lewises were, How well behaved the kids were. How I'd rather babysit the ten of them than the 2 badly behaved kids next door. I had the pleasure of spending time with them. Ronnie would drive clear to Portage Lakes to pick me up to babysit in Mogadore, then back home to Portage Lakes. It was worth every .50 an hour. This was back in the 1960's. We had many good memories in those days and I've always known what a great Mom Delores was and what a great Dad Ronnie was. They raised all of their children right, They were always fair and there was no favoritism. They all grew up to be good people, loving each other and taking care of Delores. Yes it saddens me to hear that Sweet Delores has passed on and that her family are now in such sorrow, but it puts a smile on my face to think of Ronnie...open armed, welcoming her to her Heavenly home. RIP Delores Lewis. I'll continue to think fondly of The Lewis Family for the rest of my days, and I'll keep checking in on your girls every day on facebook.
