George Kotrotsos Obituary
George Dimitrios Kotrotsos, 53, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017.
George was born in Athens, Greece, and came to Akron in 1970. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. George enjoyed yardwork and had a fondness for cutting down trees. He was a sweet, kind person who cared about everyone. George was a beloved son, brother and uncle, to whom family was the most important thing in life.
George was preceded in death by his father, Dimitri. He is survived by his mother, Elaine; sister, Sylvia (Mark) Douvikas; nephews, James (Mariah) and Nick (Nikki Weaver) Douvikas; aunt, Mary Kallas; and cousins, Jim (Jan) Kallas, Cindy (Steve) Toth and Sylvia (Ted) Paragios.
Calling hours will be TODAY, Sunday, November 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S Union St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in George's memory may be made to the church. (Akron, 330- 724-1281, anthonyfh.com)

I remember George from Garfield we were in same history class. Years later I met him again and he made wooden cross for my son. I saw him often at the Holy Cross cemetery tending to his fathers grave. He was very dedicated son. My heart goes out to his mother and sister. Please know I am here for the both of you.
