Karen Vaughan Obituary

Karen Lynn Vaughan Karen Lynn Vaughan, 68, of New Martinsville, W. Va., died Friday, October 14, 2011 at her home. She was born February 16, 1943 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Claud Wright and Ida Tibitha Edge Vaughan. Karen retired on August 31, 2004 from PPG Industries, after 41 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, was Secretary of the Wetzel County Humane Society, member of the PPG Round Table Girls, and currently employed at the New Martinsville Public Library. She loved cats and feeding the wild life in her backyard. She is survived by her brother, Hal Vaughan of Sykesville, Md.; sister, Claudia Cain of Mogadore, Ohio; four nieces, Patricia Vaughan of Maryland, Michelle Vaughan Bontoyan of Maryland, Lora Cain of Mogadore, Ohio and Leslie (Jon) Steffen of Akron, Ohio; three great-nephews, Jeffrey (Kellie) Ballenger of San Diego, Calif., Curtis (Angel) Ballenger of Wadsworth, Ohio and Travis (Bree) Turnbow of Mogadore, Ohio; and a great-niece, Sara Kate Bontoyan of New Freedom, Pa. Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge Street, New Martinsville, W. Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wetzel County Humane Society, P.O. Box 395, New Martinsville, WV 26155 or New Martinsville Public Library, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
