Louise Hamilton Obituary
Louise was born October 11, 1944 in Whistler, Ala. to Wilson and Louella Gaston who preceded her in death.
Louise was preceded in death by her twin brother. She was adopted and raised by her uncle and aunt, James and Nettie Stanford who also preceded her in death. Louise accepted Christ at a young age and was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio. Louise was a graduate of North High School and went on to attend The University of Akron. She married Ruben Hamilton on September 9, 1967 who preceded her in death in 2002. To this union one daughter was born, Candace L. Hamilton who preceded her in death in 2009.
Louise was employed at Stemco Corporation, Kroger's, Akro Mills, Roadway Express and Wal-Mart Corporation where she retired in 2012. Louise took pride in her personal appearance and always loved to look her best. She was a sophisticated lady. She had a great love for flowers, loved to work in her yard and enjoyed decorating her home. She also loved music.
She leaves to cherish her memory, grandchildren, RaShon Holmes and Lashon Hamilton, both of Akron, Ohio, and a great-granddaughter, Candace Holmes of Akron, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Bennie (Katie) Hamilton of Akron, Ohio and John (Karen) Hamilton of Seattle, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Lillie Hamilton of Chesapeake, Va., Gwendolyn Hamilton and Evelyn Wasson, both of Akron, Ohio; aunts, Agnes Gaston of New Kensington, Pa., Pearl Gaston of Pine Hills, Pa., Bertha Hamilton of Copley, Ohio; one Goddaughter, Tracey Jones of Akron, Ohio; a special cousin, Van Jones of Akron, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton Street Akron, OH 44307, Rev. Jesse Peterson eulogizing. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Condolences may be sent to 730-A Fleming Dr., Akron, Ohio 44311.

RaShon, LaShon, Keia, Danny Jr., (aka,Kenay), please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your Nana, Mrs Hamilton. Please know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning as you begin to remember the wonderful memories that your grandmother left for you. Hold onto them and let God do the comforting in your hearts. Always remember how much she loved you and that will always bring comfort and joy to your hearts.
