Ronald Wright Sr.
"Twin"
Ronald Wright Sr.,"Twin," was born March 12, 1934 to the union of the late Andrew and Marian (Collier) Wright in Akron, Ohio. He remained a dedicated worker at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company until retiring in 1997 with 44 years of service. He was an active member of the Jerusulem Mission ary Baptist Church, where he served in the male chorus. He was a member and past honorary po tentate of Al Kaf Shrine Temple 109, Mount Calvary Lodge 76, Be zeleel Consistory 15, Al Kaf Precision Drill Team, Local 2 Credit Union, Nobles & Daughter Bowling Team, American Legion Post 272, and Rhine River Post 3618.
On Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, he departed this life after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marian Wright; twin brother, Roland Wright; sister, Shirlee Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted son, Ronald C. Wright Jr.; his loving daughter-in-law, Carolyn; grandson, Ronald C. Wright III; granddaughter, Jada Brittany Wright; mother of his son, Barbara Wright; stepdaughter, Cynthia Kelly both of Jacksonville, Fla.; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Wright; nephews, Preston (Deborah) Wright of Cleveland, Ohio, and Kamal Wright; nieces, Kamara Wright; aunt, Betty (Bill) Collier; special friend, Tom Jones; dear friend and former wife, Wilma Wright; along with a garden of other wonderful relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will held Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1255 Wooster Avenue., Pastor Marc Neal Officiting. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Blue House masconic service will commence promptly at 12:30 p.m. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 531 Wyandot Ave., Akron, Ohio, 44305. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice Care Center, Covenient Store and staff, on Massillon Road, and Anita Brown. (Stewart & Calhoun, 330- 535-1543.)
