To the Bailey family,
I just found out about Mr. Baileys passing, and I'm so saddened by it. I worked with Jeff for years, and always admired Mr. Baileys dedication & commitment to his son. My deepest sympathy to Jeff & his family.

I only knew Sherman as father of Jeff and Carol and would see you both at Jeff's annual meeting as I was his instructor at Southern Center for many, many years. Sherman always seemed like a quite intelligent, caring, and warm human being. I did not know of his many accomplishments, but they are not surprising to me with even my brief association with him. My sympathies to his family. I feel you were all blessed to have such a man in your life for so many years. I wish I could have gotten to know him better.

Carol,Tom,Kevin & family. Regret not being able to attend calling hours as we are out of town. Am very grateful to Sherm for asking me to accept my first Goodyear International foreign assignment. Goodyear would have been a much better company if they had had more employees of Sherm's calibre! I admired Sherm's knowledge and viewpoints on so many subjects, He had good common sense, iintelligent and very conscientious. We will miss him a lot . Marvin Red Haught

I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Bailey because he was a dear friend of my parents. He was a wonderful man; always interesting and fun and funny. The kind of person I could chat with all afternoon. I will miss seeing him when I'm home; he was a regular in Mom and Dad's kitchen. I know they will miss him dearly too, as will all that knew him, especially his family. With deepest sympathy, Heidi Hill

To Mr. Bailey's family,

I live in Highland Towers and would see Mr. Bailey quite often in the lobby and elevator. All I can say is, what a guy! Always polite and a pleasure to talk to. And that wicked sense of humor! Sometimes he would come up with such a zinger we both would laugh out loud. I will miss him.

My deepest sympathies,

Carol, I know you are grieving. I can't know what you are feeling, but I can empathize with the pain and loss. I walk with you in spirit, Carol. the inner hole of loss is your dad's size. no one else fits. but its shape - the memories - at least outline that hole, that void.

Sherm was a gentleman in every sense of the word; compassionate, kind, empathetic, and generous. He taught me a great deal in my early days at Goodyear not just in the financial areas but also as a role model and human being. It was always a pleasure to be in his presence and I will remember with fondness his character and kindness. With deep sympathy for his family and close friends. We will all miss him.

Carol & family: My love and sympathy to you all in the passing of dear Sherman. He was so very alive, every minute that he was here; his incredible mind and very witty "Shermanisms" will live in my memory forever, as will his love for you and yours for him. Godspeed, Sherman dear, on this greatest of all adventures. Heaven will never be the same now that you've arrived!

Oh Carol, you know how much I love your dad. What an honor it has been to be ranked among the long list of "girl friends". Sherm was quite a role model for all of us on how to live our lives to the fullest. I was so pleased to be with your family for his dulcimer concert, birthday celebration. I will miss our conversations and his flirting ways.
Long live Sherm Bailey in our hearts and memories.
