JERRY SHEBESTER

June 2, 1936 - Dec 7, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Jerry passed away in Oklahoma City on Dec. 7, 2013. He was born June 2, 1936, in Ardmore, OK, the son of Ralph Shebester & Mildred (Lansford) Shebester. He graduated from Pauls Valley High School and earned his degree in Petroleum Engineering from OU, where he was a member of ATO. He is survived by his wife, Susan, of the home; his children: Lorrie Carruth, of Norman; Michael Shebester, of Houston, TX; Mark Shebester, of Pauls Valley; Jonathan Johnson, of Oklahoma City; and Clarissa Blackburn and husband John, of Wynnewood; grandchildren: Joey Shebester, of Sulphur; Kevin Blackburn, of Wynnewood; Shaylea Shebester, of Tulsa; Jimmy Shebester, of Carrolton, TX; and Josh, Michelle, Lauren, and Jill; siblings: Mary Watkins and husband Vaughan, of Madison, MS; and Norma Lohmann, of Norman; nieces: Debbie Jones, of Mississippi; Teri McGehee, of Mississippi; and Angela Alper, of Georgia; aunt, Maxine Carlton, of Pauls Valley; and many other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Shebester; niece, Tammy Frazier; and nephew, Jeff Lohmann. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, followed by a memorial service at Northwest Christian Church, NW 30th and May Ave., at 11:30 a.m.
