I know Johnny is greatly missed by family and friends. Although he is physically gone you are blessed to have had him close by for 50 years and many, many cherished memories. Johnny was lucky to have so many friends and family that loved and cared about him and that same love and caring will be there for his family. How comforting it is to know that one day you'll be reunited. Love to all of you.

The night Bill and I met John was a great night. Bill and John could have talked forever about Cars and Hunting. The other hand was me, working with you at Ridgeview and this was the other have of your life. I am very deeply saddened for your loss. God got a good one. Your love affair will go on until you meet at the Golden Gates and it will start again in heaven.

Joe, Emily, Jamie, JJ & Jana...I am so very sorry about the tremendous loss you all have faced. I know there are no words to ease the pain or make this any easier. I attended a Memorial Service today for a"One of a Kind Man"John was a good family man, and always had a smile on his face.He was my son-in-law Bubba McBride best friend. We just didn't lose a good friend we lost a member of our family, We loved him dearly and he will be missed but never forgotten.

I am so very sorry. I didn't know about this. I used to babysit with Johnny. He used to climb to the top of my piano. Scared me to pieces. I also have pictures of him as a toddler. I am sooo very sorry. My prayers are being sent up for the entire family. I am so sad for the loss of my little cousin.

I worked with John for almost 18 years at Governiar , always got along with him well even when the plant got sweltering hot in the summer time he was always nice to me . I remember his Corvairs and how proud he was of the yellow short wide Chevy to built and most of the times you could hear him coming even before you could see that bright little truck . I have talked to a few of the guys that we worked with at Governair like me that have moved on and all I had to mention was his name we all knew by was ( Lil John ) and everybody remembered him and are deeply sadened to hear that he is gone but will always be remembered. We met John sometime shortly after he and Jana started dating. We were always impressed with what a great guy he was and we were so happy for them when they married. He was always the same - always smiling, always willing to help anyone with anything. We have been close friends of the McMillans since Jana & Robin were very small, so we are in an older generation, but he and Jana always treated us like we were very important friends. He was a great man and anyone who knew him was very blessed. Our hearts are broken for all of you and we will keep you in our prayers.

John was such an amazing man. Todd and I have so many wonderful memories with him. We only got to see him now and again when we would travel home to OK. but each time we did, he was so happy to see us and we knew what a good friend he was... more like family then a friend. I have many wonderful childhood memories growing up with the Newsom family. You were always welcome at their home and in for a good time. Johnny was a big part of that, being the cool big brother that we all wanted to be around. He was a good sport about it and was willing to entertain or keep an eye on us. He will truly be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with all of Johnny's family.

Growing up in davis was so much fun with guys like john the football games in thronbrues pasture working on our bikes in his dads garage later in life working togathet at governair john was a born leader his crew did love him running such a large operation not many could what john did time and time again i loved this man had lots of kidding around days hats off newsom hats off

Many fond memories of Johnie, growing up in Davis Glenn subdivision. We spent many summer nights camping out, telling the new kids about the "White Man", introducing the young ones to snipe hunting. I got introduced to both, of course Johnie was there. We took different paths after high school, and only recently did I "reconnect" with Jana on facebook. I relished at looking at her photosn and seeing what they have become after nearly 30 years. What was obvious to me was how happy and complete my old friends have become. Rest well Johnie Newsom.

Johnny will be greatly missed. I have many great memories spending time at the Newsom's house for youth parties as well as on youth trips. Johnny was always a good role model. Although we will miss him, heaven has welcomed him home.

I worked with John at Logan County Asphalt and considered him not only a fellow employee but a friend. If any of us needed something done, all you had to do was ask John and he did it willing and always with a smile. He will be missed everyday but will be remembered as a great human being and friend. Johnny (as I always called him) was a wonderful man in all areas of life. I've known Johnny since he was a child and was his high school Sunday School teacher. John always had a wonderful smile and was always ready to help with anything that was needed. I guess Heaven needed some extra bright smiles there....I will sure miss him. Charley and I just went to his 50th birthday party this year and I could hardly believe he was already 50. To Jana, JJ, Jaime and all of the family.....thank you for sharing John with all of us. You are in our prayers.

We were John and Jana's next door neighbor. John loved my parties and coming over the next day to eat the left overs. We are travelers and so proud of the Newsoms for taking great vacations with their family.
