John V. Patterson III

John V. Patterson, III, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2007. John was born on July 18, 1946 in Shreveport, LA to John and Peggy (Harper) Patterson. John loved to laugh and joke and volunteered at Glorietta and the Civic Center. His greatest joy was sharing the love of Jesus. He also loved fishing. He was a diabetic, a double amputee, and a heart transplant recipient. His many hobbies included being a Ham Radio operator. He is survived by his wife Karen of the home; 1 son, John B. Patterson and wife Allison of Red Oak, OK; 1 brother, Ty; 3 sisters, Phyllis Elliston, Evelyn Patterson, and Denise Patterson; son-in-law Jim Lane; 3 grandchildren, Zoe, Logan and Clayton Lane; brother-in-law John Duncan; sister-in-law Janice Blankenbiller; and many friends. John was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Jennifer McCoy-Lane. John and Karen are members of the First Baptist Church, Moore, OK. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
