JULIA HERINGER Obituary

July 28, 1958 - Dec. 1, 2015 EDMOND Julia Mae Heringer, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, after her battle with cancer. She was born July 28, 1958, to the late Charles Elmer Winton & Jewel Mae Denson. She grew up in Oklahoma City with her five sisters. She married Ed Heringer Nov. 11, 1982. She and Ed raised their two daughters in Edmond, OK. Family and friends were Julia's passion and delight. She loved working outdoors in her garden, camping, hiking, fishing and shopping. She also enjoyed crafting ? especially when she was giving her project to the ones she loved. Julia never met a stranger and always jumped at the opportunity to make a new friend. She was always happy and was known for making people feel like family. Later in life, her favorite activities included her grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to watch them play sports and spend time with them. Julia worked for Reid Printing in Edmond for 25 years. She enjoyed going to work each day and loved the friendships she made with her coworkers ? especially LaVerna Reid. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Lillie Katherine Ives, Terry Della Hill, and Rita Voncile Brennan. She is mourned by her husband, Ed Heringer; daughters, Corey Ann Hawker & her husband Jason Hawker and Ginger Adele Trotter & her husband Clay Trotter; her five grandchildren; Alexa, Ethan, and Madeline Trotter; and Conner and Morgan Hawker; her sister, Pam Snead (Ron); her twin sister, JoAnn Hennessey (James); and 11 nieces and nephews. Julia's family would like to extend sincere appreciation to all of the wonderful physicians and nurses at Stephenson Cancer Center and OU Medical Center for the compassionate care she received during her 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer, including Dr. Russell Postier and Dr. Shubham Pant. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
