Dr. Lawrence was my neurologist after a scary medical event. But I first knew him as a neurologist working in the cardiac ICU at Baptist. All of us knew him to be the best. Neurologists can be serious people, not prone to much joking. Dr. Lawrence would leave his doctor's bag at the nurse's station while he assessed his patients so we would drop silly notes in it for him to find later. He never mentioned it and neither did any of us. His passing still affects so many people in his professional life, and I'm certain, in his personal life as well.

I have avoided acknowledging Dr. Davis' death until now because I could not think of it without crying. In 1986 I was stricken with a spinal disease known recognized by two local doctors, and I'm sure the Lord brought Dr. Davis to me after being hospitalized by another doctor. I am walking today and functioning better than any patient of this disease known for man years, due to Dr. Davis' superior knowledge and care. His constant concern and undying efforts kept me going and will never be forgotten. He was truly the perfect definition of "doctor" in my life and those of my family. I considered him a great friend.
Thank you to Davis' family for sharing a wonderful man with us.

I just learned of Dr. Davis's passing today when I tried to make an appointment to see him again. I loved seeing him as a patient. He always remembered little things about my life like I saw him every day.
Dr. Davis was such a great doctor. I am so sad I didn't hear of this sooner. He will be missed ! He made such an imprint on everyone's lives. I loved working with Dr. Davis for the many , many years that I was his patient.

Larry was my freshman year roommate at Westminster and a fraternity brother in Beta Theta Pi.
I will always have treasured memories of him as a good friend and a great guy. We shared lots of laughs.
My thoughts are with Judy and his entire family.

Dr. Davis was my neurologist when I was diagnosed with MD >15 years ago. He helped me fight this disease for many years until my insurance changed. He was both a country doctor and a cutting edge physician. Thanks Dr. Davis for your work that changed so many lives, including mine.

Dr.Davis was always thoughtful and kind to nurses and patients alike. My most recent memories of him were in this past year when he lovingly cared for my 89 year old mother. He will be greatly missed. God Bless his family.

I was a high school classmate of Larry's (BAHS 67) and am saddened to learn of his passing. I am a registered nurse and a cancer survivor so am aware of the unique challenges a medical professional and their family faces when battling this disease. I remember Larry as a caring young man with his focus on future goals, and in reading the story of his life and the tributes of others he not only achieved those goals, but did it in a way that touched the lives of others in ways he could not have imagined. With deepest sympathy,

As a nurse with INTEGRIS hospital for the last 15 years, I have known Dr. Davis in a professional manner. But the last couple of years he was also a client of my husband, Matt, at PACER. Dr. Davis was always so full of life and cared about those around him - whether they were his actual patient or not. He will be greatly missed by the INTEGRIS community and his friends.

I first met Dr. Davis in 1987. I had seen other doctors, but I had never met a doctor like Dr. Davis. For the first time I had a doctor that truly listened to me and cared about me. He was a very special man. He will be missed! My deepest condolences to his family.

1975 - Margaret Stuart was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Davis cared for not only my mom but her daughters during this very difficult time. I can still see him sitting on her bed edge, trying to explain how our life was going to change. At the ages of 16 and 13 we could only stare into his struggling eyes. As we grew older and mom's health declined, Dr. Davis never failed to love us up! Mom left us in 2013 - calling Dr. Davis was the hardest. He reminded me of how precious life is and that I need to stop crying. Remember the good days, he said. And I have! Now, he and mom are celebrating the joy's of Heaven!! Watching over us all.
Blessing to the Davis family and always know.... Dr. Larry Davis was a special angel here on earth!

Larry came to Broken Arrow High School his Jr. year-1965-66. Coming from the rich Edison H.S.; we thought he would be a snob. But, he was just another country boy and fit in very well. Always nice to everyone.
He came to our 20th re-union and even as a doctor; he was still the same Larry.
He will be missed by his class-mates in Broken Arrow.

So very sad to hear the news. I first met Dr. Davis when I was a new nurse in 1988 at Deaconess. He was always kind to the staff and cared for his patients. One time he put his black bag on the desk at the nurses station. While he made rounds, I proceeded to place "things" in his black bag. Toilet paper, rubber bands, white out, screw driver and etc. He came back to the desk and discovered his "treats" and he would laugh. I would not admit to anything but I would get "the look". Dr. Davis was a special man and we are so fortunate to have known him.

With such a busy schedule at Integris, Larry still made time for a quick chat while getting our morning coffee. We talked about our boys, how their families were growing, and how proud we were to be grandfathers. I miss our family updates and his always positive outlook on life. He was so proud of his family.

Dr. Larry Davis was always kind, always supportive, always truthful, and always passionate about bringing the best neurology care to Oklahomans. He was a gentleman and a servant physician in the truest sense of the words. It was a honor and privilege to work with him.

Larry was a gentlemens cowboy. We had the pleasure of his friendship. He loved riding his horses and showing competively. He was cowboy when he slipped those boots and hat on and was great doctor when he put that white coat on. We will miss your laugh. Larry, you made the cut. RIP
