Nancy Brooks Obituary

Nancy Jane Hundley Brooks, 67, died Thursday, December 18, 2003, in Oklahoma City. She was born August 22, 1936, in Calvin, OK, to Helen and Weldon Hundley. Nancy graduated from Calvin High School in 1954 and from the University of Oklahoma in 1958. She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the United Methodist Church. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. 'Ganny' loved to laugh and has gone home to be with her family for Christmas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Hundley. Survivors include her husband, Chester Brooks of OKC; four daughters and sons in law, Jane and Chris Politte, Austin, TX; Janna and Steve Cole, OKC; Janine and Greg Wheeler, OKC; Jaquita and Clint Corley, The Woodlands, TX; ten grandchildren, John, Jake and Jeb Politte, Jordan, Elaine and Carter Cole, Joe and Liza Wheeler and Caroline and Claire Corley; and several nephews and nieces. Memorial gifts may be made to the United Methodist Church of Nichols Hills, 1212 Bedford Dr., OKC, OK 73116 or the American Cancer Society, 8400 Silver Crossing, OKC, OK 73132. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2003, at the United Methodist Church of Nichols Hills. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM at the Calvin Cemetery in Calvin, OK. The main thing I remember about Nancy is, she always had a smile on

her face. She would come in for her

chemotherapy treatments and was not

feeling well but she did not complain. She was very persistant in

keeping her doctors involved in her care. So sorry she lost her battle.
