TOMMY SAMPSON Obituary

Sampson Jr. August 12, 1962 - May 8, 2017 MOORE Tommy Dean Sampson Jr., of Moore, passed away May 8, 2017, at the age of 54. He was born August 12, 1962, in Oklahoma City. Tommy was a 1980 graduate of Moore High School. He was a machinist by trade, and had worked for Willhoites Cam Shafts for approximately 15 years, Kams Inc., and was also the owner and operator of Custom Cylinder Heads, as well as a driver and dispatcher for the BNSF Railroad. He is survived by his father, Tommy Sampson, of Tahlequah; his mother, Mary Sampson, of Moore; 2 brothers, Terry Sampson & wife, Arden, of Tahlequah and Tobey Sampson, of Torrance, CA; nieces, Erica, Emily, and Hailey Sampson; and nephews, Tyler and Synjin Sampson; and grandparents, Louise & Albert Upton. Funeral services for Tommy will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2017, at the First Moore Baptist Church, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Moore Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.

Tommy, I just found out about your passing. You were a good friend and a great employee. There is no way I could have done my job at RCX without you. The world is a colder place without you. If someone asked me to describe you in one word, it would have to be "REAL", you were who you were, take it or leave it, I took it every chance I got. You made me smile, laugh, as you did with all around you. I loved how proud you were of your nieces and nephews. I've missed you Tommy, and will continue to. RIP my brother you and your family are in my prayers.
