Carl W Browning Sr. of Omaha, NE passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 95. He was born in Woodbine, IA to John and Luella (Hagen) Browning. He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 siblings; wife, Patricia (Pieper); wife, Nina; son, Joseph Walter; and great-grandsons, Cameron Langfeldt, and Chance.
He is survived by 5 children, Norman James of Independence, MO, Carl Wendell Jr. (Kathy M), Theresa Ann, and Kathleen Jean of Omaha, NE, and Brenda Kay Lowe of Clarinda, IA; 2 siblings, Shirley Walasek of Richmond, KY and Betty Pierce of Rockford, IL; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and too many extended family members to mention.
Carl served in the Army during World War II. After serving, he spent much of his work life as a truck driver, he was a member of Teamsters Local 554 Union and worked as a Business Agent until his retirement. As an avid fisherman, Carl served as Secretary Treasurer of the Omaha Fish and Wildlife Club for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
VISITATION: Thursday, October 13, 5-7:30pm. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, October 14 at 11am with Interment to follow. All services at Westlawn-Hillcrest.
