Dear Sallie and Lonnie,

Calvin appeared to have been a wonderful son and someone I wish I had known. Roy knew him and as I mentioned to you could not attend the funeral because he was out of town. As parents, we share your grief and may God be with you through this time of mourning. I am sure that Calvin is with our loving God as our existence I believe does not end with death.

Dear Sallie, Lonnie, Brigit and Nuru,

Although I never have met Calvin I now know what a great young man he was. After witnessing all of the words of praise of him and seeing the outpouring of expressions of smypathy I to know what and outstanding person he was. In the weeks and years to come I would like to direct you to a passage of scripture that helped to sustain my late wife through eight years of fighting cancer and now gives me solace. Paslm 121: 1,2,3.

Sincerely, Your Friend, Warren G. Taylor

Although we never had the opportunity to meet Calvin, we were impressed by the legacy which was expressed in the news coverage and at the service. Someone once said that your character determines your destiny. May you find some comfort in knowing that his short life served as an inspiration to others, and that he was destined to be in a good place forever.

Sallie & Lonnie,

You and the boys are a part of our family. Like any family, when one hurts, all hurt. The depth of that hurt is felt differently by each. We cannot imagine your hurt today, tomorrow and the rest of your life. And yet, know that God will not give you more than he knows you can handle. Also know, that we are here for you and love you.

To Allen Family,

Our greatest sympathies are with you at this time. Our son Kyle spoke of him alot just this week when he was home. We have him in pictures and videos here on Kyles computer. The triple deucers are a tough and close group of young men and I know he will be greatly missed. We are devastated for you and our hearts are feeling your pain and loss. Please remember that God will prevail in all of this and may he give you comfort. Thank you, Lonnie for being such a friend to Kyle.
