Of Omaha. Larry graduated from Benson High School in 1967. Preceded in death by Parents, Ernest, Jr. and Norma Sundberg. Survived by Daughter, Natalee Leland; Sister, Judi (Trent) Winegar of Evergreen, CO; Niece, Dana Hall of Castle Rock, CO; Nephew, Ryan Grabow of Saratoga, WY; Grandchildren, Madeline and Maximillian Leland; Many other relatives and friends.
MEMORIAL SERVICE, Friday, 6:00PM at Braman Mortuary (72nd St. Chapel). VISITATION with family one hour prior to the service. Inurnment: Private. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to the family. Contributions to the VFW #2503 & the Scandinavian American Society will be made in Larry's name. To leave a condolence, visit

I learned of this from the Benson High School Alumni newsletter that I almost threw away. It is a shock. You have my sympathy. Larry and I used to learn about Chevrolets together back in high school. He had a 54 and I had a 51..what fun. My last e-mail from him was on May 24, 2011 so we did keep in touch. Darrell McGhghy

I am so sorry to hear of Larry's death at such a young age. We didn't see each other often but I always enjoyed his company and conversation when we did meet. I'll pray for you all!

Natalee and Judy - I am so very sorry to hear about your dad and brother. He was such a wonderful person. I've known Larry ever since we both worked at Diebold and we have remained friends ever since. Even though we lived far apart, he was never far from my thoughts. He often spoke of both of you - Natalee - you were the apple of his eye and he was always so proud of you, along with his grandchildren. Again, you have my deepest sympathy. Natalee, Judi, and your families... you all have my deepest sympathy and you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
Was so very shocked and saddened to hear of Larry's sudden passing! He was always a good friend starting way back during our Benson High School days. I am very thankful that we, once again, became close friends about six or so years ago! We shared some great times at the SAS and VFW as well as enjoying racing together! Rest In Peace my Longtime Friend... until we meet again on the other side!

Larry was one of the nicest guys around.
Always a gentleman, interesting to talk to. A good friend.
I know he was crazy about his Natalee, I remember him toting you around when you were a little girl. A proud papa he was!

I was so sorry to hear about Larry's passing.
I met Larry through my husband Jim while the two of them were still in High School (back in 1965 or 1966) so we go back a long ways!
