Margaret died peacefully at home with her family on January 15, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her son, William; grandson, Charles; brother, Paul; sister-in-law, Barbara; parents, Paul and Elizabeth. She is survived by daughter, Paula and Mary; stepdaughter, Judy Martin-Tafoya (Steve); grandchildren, Logan, Eli and Lilibeth; nephew, Paul Dixon (Ruth); nieces, Karen Corbid, Ann Eiswerth (Mark) and Marla Dixon-Morato (Jose Luis); cousin, Mary Hoffman; and special friend, Allison Ortiz.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 18th, from 5-7pm at West Center Chapel. FUNERAL: Thursday, January 19th, 11am at All Saints Episcopal Church (9302 Blondo Street). Interment: Flower Hill Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to PEO International or to the Omaha Community Foundation.

What a joy it was for me to read Margaret's extensive obituary because one of my favorite memories are of the many conversations I enjoyed having with Margaret and she would tell me about her interesting life. I absolutely loved visiting with Margaret. I knew her before her children were born so I was acquainted with her pre-children life story, but not so much her Omaha life making her obituary even more special to me. I learned more incredible things about this marvelous woman and her continuing adventures throughout her eventful life. She gave her children a life filled with knowledge and awareness, and she passed that trait on to her girls who are doing the same for their children. Her girls took such good care of their treasure and included her in everything. I both loved Margaret and admired her grace, intelligence, and her sweetness. She stood up for me in my wedding as Mother of the Bride and I was so proud to have her do so. She looked so pretty and everyone in South Dakota still remember her. Margaret never knew a stranger and greeted everyone with acceptance and love. I loved her so very much and my heart is broken that she is gone. She had such a beautiful smile, and I am thankful to have been the recipient of that smile so many times in my life. My love and condolences go out to her loving family.

I extend my sympathies to all of you---I knew and worked with Margaret at Metropolitan Community College many years ago. She was ahead of her time in computer knowledge, and an excellent teacher as well as friend.
