Marilyn Petersen Obituary
March 14, 1929 - January 13, 2024
Marilyn Petersen, 94 years old, died on January 13, 2024, at Deerfield Retirement Community in Urbandale, IA, following a protracted decline. She was the daughter of Ernest C and Pauline C Peterson, born in Burt County, NE. She graduated from Millard High School in 1947 and married Jess L Petersen, also of Millard, in 1948. They lived in Borger, TX, then in Atlantic, IA, and finally in Missouri Valley, IA. She moved to Urbandale, IA, following the death of her husband in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings and husband. Marilyn is survived by her son, Matthew, of Johnston, IA; her daughter, Sherri Anderson (Mrs. Michael), of Greenwood, SC; a granddaughter, Jessica Dooley (Mrs. Brian), of Moncks Corner, SC; a great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials are requested to be directed to the donor's preferred charities. A PRIVATE BURIAL for immediate family only will be arranged at a later date.

So sorry for your loss, Matthew and Sherri. I really enjoyed visiting with your mom before she moved to Urbandale. I´m glad I got to know her better. Love to you and your families.
