Donna McGrady Obituary
Donna was born on May 2, 1940 in Oneida, N.Y., being the first baby to be delivered by Dr. Hixon.
She was a resident of the area for most of her life with the exception of living in North Carolina and Texas with her husband who at the time was in the military. The couple married in Texas on Dec. 19, 1969.
She worked in several places including, Oneida Ltd., Melee Box Company, Hazel Carpenter Home, Barbara Janes Home and Healthcare, Maple Park Home and the Association for the Blind.
Donna was a member of the Beacon Light Baptist Church of Vernon.
Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Family gatherings were very important to Donna. She always said if they were held at one of her brothers that gave her a free pass to "pig out". She never let a day go by without calling family members to make sure they were doing okay. Her main joy was getting in the car and going somewhere. It didn't matter whether it was out to dinner, a ride for ice cream or just to the laundromat. She will be missed by all.
Surviving are her husband James David McGrady; three sons, David Roberts of Munnsville, Norman Walter Lee of Texas and Richard Wayne and his wife Renee of Canastota; four grandchildren, Sierra, Zachary, Marcus and Darren; three brothers, Steven Reed and wife Becky of Verona, Norman Reed and wife Debbie of Munnsville, Robert Reed and wife Sue of Victor; two sisters, Mary Grogan of Oneida and Judi Parvu and husband Craig of Vernon; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother James Edward Reed.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Road, Sherrill. Donna's funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at the funeral home with Pastor Ricky Fuller Officiating. Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Helena's Cemetery, Oneida.

I didn't know Donna personally but was a friend of her sisters Mary and Judy. I am so sorry for your loss. May Jesus be with all of you.
