Raymond B. Frank

PETERBORO >> Raymond B. Frank, 86, of 4710 Park St., Peterboro, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, at Focus Rehab & Nursing Center, Utica, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 8, 1929, in Siloam, a son of Frederick and Doris (Drake) Frank.
Ray has lived in Peterboro all his life, graduating from Stockbridge Valley High School in 1948.
He was a woodworker for many years, working for Oneida Furniture, and later Stickley Furniture in Manlius, retiring in 1993.
Ray is a former member of the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department, SEVAC (Smithfield Eaton Volunteer Ambulance Corp.), and the Smithfield Grange.
He had his private pilot's license, and enjoyed flying and woodworking.
Ray married Beverly Jean Loomis on July 7, 1951, in Whitelaw.
Surviving besides his wife, Beverly are: one son and daughter-in-law, R. Barry and Susan Frank of Morrisville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rae Anne and Karl Cook of Peterboro, and Jill Yorton of Canastota; one sister and brother-in-law, Ardath "Sue" and Norman Orcutt of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Daniel Cook, Gregory Yorton, Hillary Yorton, Julia Calhoun, and Kathryn Woodbury; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Calhoun, Alexis Calhoun, Jordan Calhoun, and Nathan Woodbury; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ray was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Leo Frank and Barton Frank; and a sister, Janet Moon Raney.
At Ray's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Private burial will be in Peterboro Cemetery. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J.
