William Durfee Obituary

Oneida- William “Bill” I. Durfee 76, passed away peacefully with family at his side on April 16, 2021 after a long illness. He was born in Oneida, NY on August 1, 1944. Son of the late Leora A. (Warren) and William E. Durfee. He was a graduate of Stockbridge Valley Central School and a resident of Stockbridge, NY for 75 years. Bill worked for the Madison County Highway Department in Morrisville for over 40 years as a snowplow driver and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing and going for rides but what gave him the most pleasure was spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Pre deceased by sister Eva Jaeger Krone. Bill leaves behind his beloved wife, Melva Frost whom he married on June 19th 1965. Daughter Joanne L. Durfee of Schenectady and son William M. Durfee (Kimberley); 5 grandchildren: W. Christopher, Adam, Brooke, and Brennah Durfee all of Sherrill and Caitlyn Durfee of Swansea, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. The family will be holding a private celebration of Bill’s life. They wish to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mohawk Valley Health System Dialysis Center in Oneida and the staff at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville for their compassion and attentive care.maleckifuneralhome.com https://www.lastingmemories.com/william-bill-i-durfee
