Claude was such an enjoyable person to talk to and I loved getting to know him. I'll really miss sitting and talking with him over coffee on my visits. I know this is such a huge loss and my heart aches for you all. My deepest sympathies to you Ina Carol and Rhonda, Skip, and the rest of the family. I hope you're comforted by knowing that he knew how much you loved him. Love and prayers.

Ina, Rhonda, and Skip....I am so sorry that you have lost this kind person. Claude was always so good to attend our real estate group functions and was always a friendly person. He has been through so much this past year! It is hard to believe he is gone. Ina, I am here for you; whatever you need. I certainly understand what you are going through. Take as much time as you need to grieve in your own way. You are a wonderful person and I know Claude loved you very much. I was touched by the picture he had of you in his book and his comment "60 years old and still beautiful". You are indeed, inside and out!
Love,
Sandra Russell

Claude and I went to school, church, played ball together, ran the streets with all the boys in the neighborhood, spent the night in each other's home, and he keep the rest of us out of a lot trouble by always being a good guy. The Bayvale gang was hoping he would get down to one of the saturday breakfast meetings, but God needed a good guy in heaven. Rest In Peace all friend till we meet again. God bless you mrs Ina and family, Calvin Maddox

Claude was a gentlemen, scholar, and all-round great person. Who can forget him breaking into his home run trots as he helped the Charlie Brown All Stars become the City of Athens, GA's Championship Softball Team in 1970 . . . best of 68 teams! He would be the first to say that he married well when he married Ina.

Claude and I were friends in church and high school and I talked with him a few years ago. My prays are with the family. God bless you all.

We met in England as the Berlin wall was being built and immediately became fast friends. We watched the Cuban missile crisis develope and then JFK's assassination when the Cold War came very close to becoming hot.
Through it all, TDY's to North Africa, Germany, Denmark and Turkey...epic trips to London, where we walked the city for hour upon hour exploring one of the greatest outdoor museums in the world.
Running to catch the last train to Ipswich from Liverpool st station at 1:35am Spending the night in the Chelmsford (England) jail. Claude ( I knew him as "Bob") walking in front of my 1938 Jaguar, leading the way when the fog was so dense, forward visability was only 10 feet...and much more, our friendship never wavered. I miss him very much.

Claude and I knew each other and were friends through Bayvale Baptist Church. We played ball together on the RA teams and exchanged visits on Sunday afternoon after church in each others homes. My family lived in SC. Have not seen him since I left for AF in Jan '59. Sad to hear of his death. May God give you, his family, His comfort and support in your grief.
