John Adkins

John Stanley Adkins, a patriot and dedicated servant of his country, was born on November 30, 1939, and peacefully departed on October 15, 2023. His life was a tapestry of service, adventure, and love that touched the hearts of many.John proudly served in the United States Army, embodying a spirit of duty that would define him throughout his life. A dedicated resident of Orange County, he spent most of his years in the community he loved.John's professional journey spanned over 50 years with the Orange County Register, starting as a humble paperboy and ascending to the heights of success with the ownership of his own dealership. Beyond his professional accomplishments, John was a man of many passions. His love for bluegrass music added a melodic note to the soundtrack of his life. He cherished moments spent with his friend Rick, sharing lunches almost every day for the last ten years, as well as the precious holidays and dinners with his small family in the San Clemente area. His remarkable memory and storytelling prowess made every conversation one of a kind.An adventurer at heart, John found joy in travel and cruises. His membership in the Ferrari Club of Southern California attested to his love for sleek automobiles and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. John is survived by his ex-wife, Mauricette Adkins, his son Christopher Adkins, and daughter-in-law Sandra Walsh, his granddaughter Christine Ruzzi and her husband Joe Ruzzi, along with his great-grandson born two weeks earlier, Lucas Ruzzi.To celebrate the rich tapestry of John's life, a service will be held on November 7th, 2023, at Lesneski Mortuary, 640 South El Camino Real, San Clemente, CA 92672, starting at 11:30 AM.
