Dennis will be sorely missed. I worked with him from 1995 to 2009. I enjoyed working with him on various projects. He was very sharp at identifying and addressing potential problems before they actually became problems, at the same time he never appeard stressed. I had great respect for him, I could always rely on his depth of knowledge and his sense of humor.
My heart goes out to his family and friends during this time of loss.

We are all so sorry for your tremendous loss of Dennis. Our hearts, minds and prayers are with you as you celebrate Dennis' life, experience the loss and move on with your own lives. I did not know Dennis as an adult (only through our communications about him) but remember many happy times in younger years. God Bless you all as you "remember" today at the Memorial Service and "family sharing time" following! -David Thomas (Uncle Dave)

O'Dell family, I am very sorry about Dennis's death. We had a great time at our 40th renuion in 2006. We sat and talked a long time. I just got back from vacation last nght and didn't know about it till I looked at the paper . Or I would have attended the service. Lots of very fond memories of your house back in the High School years. I just retired and live in Phoenix part of the year. "Steve" email me if you get a chance and we can rehash the old days. 'Ray and Shirley" I will always remember you as almost being second parents as much time as I spent at your house in 1965 and 1966.

Dennis and I worked together from 1992 to 2004 on a variety of projects at First Interstate and Wells Fargo. No matter how heavy the pressure, Dennis always kept his sense of humor - as well as his cool intelligence.
I was shocked to see his obituary in the Oregonian, and wish I had had a last chance to talk with him. We last spoke perhaps two years ago by phone.
Dennis was a prince of a man.

Dear O'Dell family,
So sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. I had heard that he had turned his life around and had a full and wonderful life. My condolences. I remember Dennis warmly, a bit older than Steve and I, in the old neighborhood. That a friend would give a living partial liver donation is testament to Dennis' ability to love and be loved. Knowing the family, I am not surprised. Best Wishes, Sally Swanson #nee King#
