Robert Bishop Obituary
Bob is remembered by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn; his daughters Franci and Alysandra; his son Robb; his sisters Sharon Matheisen, Cassandra Morris, and Ishka Arnold; and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria W. and Robert C. Bishop Jr., and his sister Sally.
For 25 years, Bob dedicated his professional life to Pendleton Woolen Mills. His commitment extended beyond the workplace into meaningful community involvement. He served on the board of the Musical Theater Company and held the distinguished role of Prime Minister of the Royal Rosarians. Bob and Carolyn were also longtime members of the Portland Yacht Club, where they shared many cherished moments.
A Memorial Gathering to honor Bob's life will be held on October 5, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Portland Yacht Club, located at 1241 NE Marine Drive.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Dear Carolyn, Franci, Sandi and Robbi: we are so sorry to see Bob's obit in the Oregonian. We have wonderful memories of all of you when we were neighbors in Garthwick. Bob was truly a Portland Icon, who will be remembered favorably by all who knew him.

I was so sorry to hear of Bob´s passing, I was not able to make the memorial at PYC as I have a hip that is acting up.
It was a pleasure to have known Bob as well as you Carolyn. I think of you often.

Just learned of Bobby´s passing. He was one of my oldest friends, as we grew up two houses away on Palatine Hill. Won´t bore you with memories. Just pass on my personal sadness at the loss.
