Dear Family,
We are thinking of jou sending our condolences.
Those we love, don't go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard but always near.
Still loved, still missed,
and very dear.
we are sure now, someone's watching over you all.
and wish you all a lot of strenght.

Dear Family
We share your pain in missing your father, grandfather.
Altough he has left Belgium long time ago, he and his hole family stayed always on our minds.
We will remember him in our prayers,

I spent every summer with Grandpa "far far away" and I looked forward to when school would be out to be with him and Grandma. Grandpa never liked to be still for long. You could only catch him sitting at the table to eat, and when the news was on. He would say, "Let go check on the cows" I always knew that meant we were going on foot. During that time, Grandpa would hold my hand. I remember that his hands were hard for being calloused up form all the work he had done, and that they felt strong. (you could not get away from those hands when you were messing with him and he decided to grab you and tickle you until you could not breath) He would walk really fast too. Keeping up with him was not easy if not impossible. If there was work to be done, I don't think anybody could keep up with his pace. If does not matter if it was picking vegetables, rolling hay, or mending fences, Grandpa could get the job done while we all were panting and sipping water.
Grandpa, your work is done. Now it is time for us to catch up with all that you have accomplished.
Forever your grandson, Jimmy!
