John Franz Obituary

FRANZ, SR., JOHN AUGUST, 86, of Tavares, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2003. Born, in Holgate, Ohio, he moved to Central Florida in 1957. Mr. Franz was a US Air Force veteran of WWII, a retired Real Estate Broker, a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Winter Park and an active member of the 339th Fighter Group, AAF where he served as Group Historian. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marguerite Franz; daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Rick Toerne, Scottsdale, AZ, Mary Jane and John Roberts, Eustis, Betty and Jack Powers, Lumberton, NC; sons and daughters-in-law, John A. and Mary Pat Franz, Jr., Winter Park, Robert G. and. Michele Franz, Oviedo; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Janet Saneholtz, Napoleon, Ohio; Faye Sterling, Toledo, Ohio; Lois Thomas, Deshler, Ohio; and brothers, Harold Franz, Dale Franz and Earl Franz, all of Deshler, Ohio. The Family will receive Friends Tuesday, May 20, from 5PM until 7PM at the Apopka, Chapel of Baldwin-Fairchiid Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, 7PM. Interment will be Wednesday, May 21, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, with Military Honors conducted by the United States Air Force. Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 601 N.
