Jose lived his life full of passion and full of desire. He was kind, and appreciated everything from the complexity of a rose to the bright blue sky above.
He had such compassion for humanity and marveled at all of the accomplishments that man had created. Jose was one of the few people that managed to maintain that childlike feeling of wonder throughout his life.
Jose will always remain one of the most terrific individuals that I will have the pleasure of calling best friend.
May he greet us all in the hereafter with his precious smile.

Lamentamos su desaparición/We regret his passing away. I knew him for practically six decades from our days as young students in Havana, before we had to flee escaping from Communist oppression. He was friendly, a hard worker, and raised two model children. My condolences to Olivia and Alex and their respective children--Jose's three grandchildren. QEPD/RIP
