So many memories of my dear Uncle Ramsey. He always greeted with a warm and gentle hug, and kiss on the cheek. He called me (and many of his loved family members and friends) “sweetie”. He loved to make others smile, and when his jokes were followed with laughter you could see the light in his eyes and his cheeks turn rosy from smiling proudly himself. :) His love was quietly known. And he would do anything for his family. A sports enthusiast, he loved talking basketball with my son (his great nephew). The last I spoke with him he told me how much knowledge he had on legacy basketball players that he wanted to share with my son. He assured us not to worry about him. He was a man of optimism. Full of love and adoration for his family. We will miss you uncle Ramsey. Thank you for being a solid figure in our family. Your love and wit will carry on amongst us! With love, Iris (and family)

Those we love don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed and forever dear.

Pam, Ramsey and I graduated together from Edgewater in the Class of 1965. We were acquaintances. But in our professional lives we became friends. I also worked for Barnie's Coffee & Tea, responsible for franchising and leasing agreements with mall developers. On a constant weekly basis I would meet with Ramsey for legal advice, with telephone calls back and forth daily for 5 years. He was a joy to work with and I know he will be missed. We also were there in Gainesville in '65 and watched Ramsey play on the EHS basketball team final four and almost win in all. He certainly won a place in many folks minds and hearts during his lifetime. See you later, Ramsey.
