Joyce Marie Birch

1939 - 2021

Joyce Marie (Bundy) Birch, age 81, of Indianapolis, formerly of St. Cloud, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
She was born in Greenfield on September 7, 1939, to Scott M. Bundy and Clara J. (Strubbe) Bundy. She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1957. She married William "Bill" G. Birch on July 1, 1962.
After graduating she worked at Greenfield Banking Co. as a teller until 1970. In 1970 her family moved to Orlando, FL. In Florida, Joyce worked at Sun Trust Bank until retiring in 2008. She was a member of Pine Castle United Methodist Church in Florida. She enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. She liked to stay active and exercise. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Tracy Birch (Kimberly) of Debary, FL and Darla Gibson (Mike) of Indianapolis; siblings, Mary Bundy, Barbara Grissom (Joe), John Bundy, and Jerry Bundy (Sandy); grandchildren, Austin Gibson (Karli), Taylor Gibson (Kenzie), Kaley Birch, Mitchell Gibson (Shelby), Lucas Gibson, Caroline Gibson, and Carson Gibson; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Peyton, Brooklynn, Emma, Hunter, and Hadley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Clara; husband, Bill; brother, James "Jim" Bundy; and granddaughter, Bailey Gibson.
A memorial gathering was held Sunday, April 25, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Memorial services followed the visitation at 4:00 p.m.
