Casey Scott Michael, 25, of Midland, died in Nevada, Mo., on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012. Casey was born July 24, 1987, in Westminster, Calif., to Dennis Michael of Santa Ana, Calif., and Tamra (Mathis) Govitz of Midland.
Casey is survived by his father and stepmother, Dennis and Dawna Michael; his mother and stepfather, Tamra and James Govitz; great-grandparents, Kaylor and Ann Ross; grandparents, Ralph and Connie Mathis; siblings, Amanda and Jessica Haugen, Joe and Lily Michael and Sara and Samantha Perry; uncle, David Mathis; aunt, Michelle Burback; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Norma Tolewitzke.
A memorial service will take place at Midland Baptist Church on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Pastor James Payne officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider The Open Door, P.O. Box 1614, Midland, MI. 48641.

As I am part of his family I am so srry this happen and came to this. Casey was a kind hearted soul and was always putting others first. He will be everyone's angel now and is at peace. Bye for now and one day we will meet up again!
