Mary "Ann" Adam
Mary "Ann" Adam, age 94, died in Midland, Michigan, on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Ann was born in Muncie, Indiana, on July 19, 1929. She was the daughter of Charles Francis Reed and Mary Melzzena (Schrader) Reed.
Ann married Robert James Adam on December 23, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1979. She attended Indiana University, Purdue University and Northwood University. She attained two majors, home economics and business. As a daughter of an Army attorney, she moved 20 times in 20 years, including the time her family was in Okinawa, Japan.
She was smart, independent and trained to do well in all endeavors. She excelled in many activities, bowling, skiing, bridge and tennis. She also golfed and played tennis into her 90's.
She leaves three children; William Mark Adam of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Marilyn Sue Kyler of Mesa, Arizona, and Gail Jeanette Adam (Steger) of Midland, Michigan; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert James Adams; two brothers, Robert R. Reed and John H. Reed.

A celebration of life will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street. A memorial time of sharing with the family will begin at 5:30 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the University of Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center in Ann Arbor.
