Hilda Kunz Obituary

Hilda Ruth Kunz passed away on August 13, 2023 just 12 days after celebrating her 96th birthday.
Hilda was born and raised in Watsonville. She grew up on her family's farm on Casserly Road with her five siblings. Hilda met and married the love of life at the age of 18. They were married for 35 years spending the majority of that time in Mesa Village. They welcomed three children and five grandchildren before her husband's passing.
Hilda worked 30 years at Green Giant starting on the line and advancing to quality control. She retired at the age of 62 and was able to spend many years enjoying her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her yard. She took pride in her family, home and beautiful garden. Many days were spent watching the kids play in her yard and pool.
Shortly before her 94th birthday, Hilda moved from the only area she knew to Sandpoint, Idaho to be near her daughter and numerous family members. Most visits with Hilda were over ice cream, one of her favorite dishes. Her smile was known to light up a room and will be greatly missed.
Hilda is survived by her children, all of her grandchildren and their spouses, all of her great-grandchildren, all of her great-great-grandchildren and three siblings.
