Carolyn June Roberson

1936 - 2023

Carolyn June Roberson, 86, of Palatka passed away March 16, 2023 following a brief illness.
Born November 23, 1936 to Charlton and Ozella Vinson June, Carolyn married L. Howard Roberson on January 25, 1957 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel in San Mateo. A lifelong resident of Palatka, Carolyn was a 1955 graduate of Palatka Senior High School. She had worked as an office clerk for Drs. Campbell, Weigel and Weaver for 27 years, retiring in 1994.
Carolyn's greatest joy was her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren. He constant prayer is that they all stay on the covenant path. She also loved her Church family, but most of all she loved her Heavenly Father and her Savior Jesus Christ.
Carolyn and Howard served a year-long mission for the Church in Loma Rica and Oregon House in California. They also served 20 years in the Orlando Temple as Assistant Supervisor and ordinance workers. Carolyn was a stalwart member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Palatka and had served many years in the Church in Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, and a Visiting Teacher.
She enjoyed traveling but considered her most cherished gift in this life her precious grandchildren: Hannah, Kristyn and Adam. Her favorite phrase is "God is good and all is well."
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Charlton Legaston June and Willie Ozella Vinson June.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lucius Howard Roberson of Palatka; a sister, Charlotte June Jerin of Palatka; children, David Wayne "Robby" Roberson (Roberta) of Palatka, Kenneth Howard Roberson (Tiffany) of Orlando, Carol June Lyle (Ricky) of Palatka; grandchildren, Hannah Abplanalp (Tanden), Kristyn Lyle, Adam Roberson (Kate); and a great grandson, Benson Abplanalp.
A Celebration of Life for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints , 1414 Husson Avenue in Palatka. Friends may call in the Relief Society Room beginning an hour before the start of the service. Interment will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
