Rose Goldberg Obituary

Family-Placed Funeral Notice

ROSE GOLDBERG Rose Goldberg, 77, died July 25 in her home in Lake Worth, Florida where she lived with her husband for over 15 years. She was born in Bronx, NY, lived in New Jersey and their farm in Obernburg, NY, and moved to Florida to spend their golden years. She is cherished by Arnold, her beloved husband of 60 years. Survived by their four children and seven grandchildren who will treasure her forever. Devoted mother of Karen Asher, Jill Tfank, Jody Appelman, and Robert Goldberg. Sons-in-law Bill Tfank and Garth Appelman, daughter-in-law Kimberley Goldberg. Adored grandmother of DJ, Lee, Alex, Maxx, Madison, Simon, and Seth. In addition to her immediate family, she is missed by her two sisters, Claire and Gladys, her sister-in-law, Maxine, her brothers-in-law, her nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. As a hairstylist since she was 14 Rose and Arnold made hairdressing an extremely successful business as they owned several salons with their faithful partners, Michael Linda, and Edward Kawash. But her strongest passion was her cooking. She would prefer pots and pans as a gift to any diamond or mink coat. This is because Rose loved to make people happy in her terrific cooking; she not only filled her home with comforting aroma but left the ones she loved with wide smiles on their faces. The family is deeply grateful for the support of her friends, and wants to thank Hospice for their amazing help in such a stressful, painful time. The funeral service will be held at Gutterman Warheit, 7240 North Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, FL on July 28 at 10:45 am. The burial will be at The Gardens Memorial Chapel, 4103 Military Trail, Boca Raton. The family requests that in place of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
